Value Vom For Coaches & Affiliates In The Early Stages
This is what you need if you've just started writing content
Here's a value-vom for all the affiliates and coaches under $7867.37 per month...
Why the random number?
Because young Padawan this is your first lesson.
Our egos are hardwired to protect us, so when we see a nice round number such as 7000, it raises our disbelief factor.
'That sounds too good to be true!'
An odd number 'seems' to be more specific and calculated therefore more likely to be true, thus raising the trust factor of the statement.
Lesson: Use odd numbers (make sure they're real ones)
Side Lesson: Be unafraid of talking about numbers. The investment to get into your coaching or affiliate offers. It's like credit card candy.
Lemme 'splain....
My programs, The Ultimate Marketing Mastermind showing a simple process to fill a group with your dream clientele and leverage a simple process to ascend those folks to your high ticket offers…
And The Sanctum of Success for affiliates and coaches wanting to trim the acquisition process down to an mostly automated 4-part process and get the help they need to grow and scale are....
UMM: $1500 at the time of writing (note to self, triple the price on that - you give way too much for such a tiny investment).
Sanctum: $5200 / year or $3000 when paid in full.
Now of course I've just broken the cardinal rule by not pricing my stuff in an odd number, but anyways, that's not the point.
The point is; the more I talk about the investment of those, the easier it is to sell.
The more people get used to the investment, some cool things happen.
1. People have zero price objections when they're ready to finally start getting the results they want. They’ve had time to ponder and I’m not aiming for the impatient or impulsive. My students are in it for the long haul because they want long term sustainability rather than quick fixes.
2. When I roll out my masterclasses for $27 - $100, they're an absolute bargain.
3. As I speak more into my student wins, mindset shifts, life changes and financial windfalls that happen when people enter my world, the investment to hop into ANYTHING I offer starts looking pretty darn tiny as the value is 100x or more in many cases.
4. We don’t need to be dropping price at the end of a stressful sales call where our awesome customer is expected to make a ‘big ticket’ decision in ‘tiny ticket time.’
Next....
The 'value-vom' is an odd thing to say, so once again our brain pauses momentarily while it conjures up all sorts of weird images.
I could have said 'vowel-ue vom' which would have been even funnier, but alas I was distracted by my meandering mission at hand.
(If you caught my recent post about wifeypants and her attempts at 'puns' that would have been even funnier. Feel free to scroll through the group to the post in question - it's worth a chuckle).
In short form, that caught attention.
Another lesson from the hook of this post which you can use in a very practical sense is I posed the question your subconscious was likely considering immediately after.
This triggers the Ziegarnik effect
(humans need to close an open loop which keeps us reading/waiting for the new season of our favourite show after a cliff-hanger/watching to the end of a video when some bro marketer tells us 'we won't believe the 4th rule' of whatever set of rules we're soaking in).
Lesson: Get creative with your hooks and alliteration. It will serve you well.
Side Lesson: Use open loops in your copy which has the reader needing to mentally close that loop by consuming more of our content.
I used one just now in the preceding paragraphs.
Can you spot it? (I will give you $50 credit towards any of my resources to the first person that can in the comments)
I just created another with that sentence ironically…
Side Side Lesson: The Collier Principle states that copy should always enter the conversation already occurring in the customer's mind.
You can do that easily by posing a question after an oddly shaped staytment or were.
Like why did I misspell those words just then?
Well that's actually a different lesson, but in short order our brains love being right.
So when we're skimming through something and our subconscious picks up something totally weird like that we tend to pause.
Some writers suggest that's a cheap party trick which adds no value, but I beg to differ.
It harnesses attention and attention is a currency.
One other comment on that. I often use this technique alongside a big word, or I'll drop a lemme or an Imma as opposed to the real word.
In copy a ‘big’ word can be seen as bad. Folks read it and if they sometimes think you’re trying to be intellectually superior and they’ll recoil.
Or, they create a deficit in their mind about the gap between you and them and never reach to change it.
So why do I do it then?
Because a ‘big werd play’ is a subtle authority-builder.
While dropping faulse werds acts as a disarmament. They counter-balance one another. One builds you up like some college professor while the other makes you sound like Cletus just found a few new words and is at his latest show and tell.
This is a diffuser. The Libran in me loves balancing this duality and holding it.
Use it wisely and sparingly.
What else can I profit puke your way?
Here’s my take from 13+ years in the online marketing game.
To build a brand people love buying from, you need to;
Build authority and credibility.
The underlying word in that is trust.
Not the manipulated kind through false prophecies, but built through experience, setbacks and successes.
What have you done?
How have you impacted others?
What are the subtle ways you are you that no one else can replicate?
Put this in your content on repeat.
Let them get to know you.
Realise that content has a lagging effect.
Do, do and do some more…
Then see results.
It will come when you’re prepared to compound.Provide value.
Faaaark that’s cliche right?
Some may be getting epiphanies from this very post though, so don’t dismiss it..
Create an energy around you that shines so bright others want to be around it….
This is a bit esoteric, and in truth not many of you are ready to contemplate it just yet. I don’t fault you for that. I was there a while back too.
It just means you need to create some mojo in yourself first.
Then look to create the excitement in others and then offer those who are excited a way to get in on the action.Make some darn offers!
This one hurts me.
Most of you are so close you don’t even know it.
You have an engaged audience, so why not put an offer out there?
It’s so much closer than you think.
I’ve seen it play out.
Actually, I’ve helped it play out hundreds of times with students.
Just recently, I rolled out a brand new strategy to my students.
They took it, did it and loved it…
More importantly, it bought in sales for people in just a few days.
This is after trying and making little progress for months.
I know how this feels.
I spent 7.5 years trying without results.
This may seem so simple, because the truth is, when you understand it, it is!
If you want even simpler, I’ve got what you need.
Next week, I’ll be hosting a masterclass showing the simple, repeatable and evergreen process I gave to my existing students which helped them go from NO SALES to SALES in just 5 days….
This process has a 100% strike rate with the private clients I gave it to.
They’ve been thanking me ever since.
If you want this secret formula, why not check out the details?
I look forward to seeing you one one of my leaderboards soon!
To your success,
Jamie
